The Biosphere I Recycle Center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays. You must present a current City of Texas City water bill to dispose of trash and brush. You do not have to present a water bill if you are only dropping off recyclable items. What's a recyclable item?

  • aluminum
  • clear and colored glass
  • plastics #1 and #2
  • steel
  • used motor oil
  • cardboard
  • newspapers and magazines

The Biosphere does not accept automobile batteries, paint and other toxic or hazardous materials, or roofing materials.

The Biosphere follows a city calendar and is closed on all city holidays.
