College of the Mainland is located within Texas City and has branch classrooms. College of the Mainland is a learning-centered, comprehensive community college dedicated to student success and the intellectual and economic prosperity of the diverse communities it serves. Currently, there is enrolled approximately 4,000 credit and 10,000 continuing education students who are already pursuing degree and career-related education. Credits earned in its Associate in Arts core transfer to all public Texas universities. It offers associate degrees in General Studies, Mathematics, Natural Science, Theatre, Visual Arts, Business, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Music, Nursing, various teaching areas or specialties, Business Administration (Accounting, Management, and Marketing), Child Development/Education, Computer Information Systems, Criminal Justice, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Technology, Geographic Information Systems, Graphic Design/Web Design, Health Information Management, Network Systems Technology, Nursing, Occupational Safety and Health Technology, and Petrochemical Process Technology.
