The City of Texas City and surrounding area is benefitted by services offered by various sources including an outstanding Community College, Small Business Development Center, and the Contractors Safety Council. College of the Mainland offers customized training and services in professional and workforce development. The Galveston County Small Business Development Center provides free private counseling and low-cost workshops to help small business owners start and grow their companies. In addition, the Texas City High School provides training of students in industry, etc.
