TEXAS CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT
FIRE FIGHTER/PARAMEDIC

Applications are being accepted for TEXAS CERTIFIED FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC

Applicants must possess a current Texas Commission on Fire Protection Basic Fire Fighter Certification and Texas Dept. of State Health Services Paramedic Certification at time of job offer, 18 - 36 years of age at the time of employment, compensation/benefits include: Salary $46,632.22 per year, (53 hour work week) plus Education Incentive Pay, Fire Certification Pay, and $4,860 annually for Paramedic Certification Pay, 15 days sick leave, 16 days vacation, 14 personal days, 10 holidays. Employee Health & Dental coverage, Life Insurance, and Local defined benefit Retirement System.

Required to obtain the following within one year of employment:

- Class B Texas Commercial Driver's License.
- Hazardous Materials Technician Certification
- Confined Space/High Angle Rescue Certification
- Water Rescue certification
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Instructor certification
- Training and certification paid for by the City

3rd Annual Texas Fallen Heroes Memorial Ride & Cook Off
Galveston County Fair Grounds June 22 - June 23
The Texas Fallen Heroes Memorial Ride & Cook-Off is the official benefit fundraiser for the Texas Line of Duty Death task Force. The purpose of the memorial ride is to bring a greater awareness to the Task Force and to raise funds to help support the departments and families who have suffered a line of duty injury or death.

 Never leave lit candles unattended or near combustibles. 

 Follow manufacture guidelines for the placement of heating appliances, minimum of 3 feet from other items.

 Never leave items cooking unattended.
