The
Texas City Museum is supported by the City of Texas City. Located at 409 6th Street
North in Texas City, the Museum acquired its current building in March 1992. The
30,000 sq. ft. building, previously known as the old J.C. Penney building, was
donated by the McDaniel family of La Marque. Since its opening in March 1994,
visitors from around the United States and abroad have toured the Museum.
The
Texas City Museum encourages the explorer in everyone to experience the past,
encounter the present, and discover the future. It is a place where both emotions
and intellect are challenged as you are invited to touch, explore, and ask questions
during your journey through the museum.
Please
join us in our discovery of the past and journey toward a brighter future. |
