Texas City Police Department sponsors and promotes the following programs and

National
Night Out -- First Tuesday in August.
Take
an active role in the safety and security of your city, your community, your neighborhood.
To participate in National Night Out, complete the National Night Out Activity
Form and mail to the Texas City Police Department or email the form to Elroy Montgomery.
Citizens
Police Academy
The
Citizens Police Academy gives residents an opportunity to see how and why the
police department operates as it does. To enroll, complete the Citizens Police
Academy application and mail or deliver to the Texas City Police Department or email the form to Charles Totty.
Crime
Stoppers -- (409) 948-TIPS Crime Stoppers is a civilian,
non-profit corporation established wtihin a community to set up a telephone hotline
to receive anonymous tips about criminal activity. Tips received by Crime Stoppers
are passed along to the law enforcement agency with the jurisdiction and responsibility
for investigating the crime being reported.

R.U.O.K.
To
participate in the R.U.O.K. program you:
- Must
be a Texas City resident
- Must
be 65 or older or homebound/handicapped
Calls
are made from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the hour. To enroll in the program, complete the R.U.O.K. Subscriber form and return to the Texas City Police Department or in person or email it to Elroy Montgomery. For more information, call Det. Elroy Montgomery at (409) 643-5816.
