Registration: For most of the courses, anyone in your agency licensed by TCLEOSE or employed in the criminal justice field is eligible to attend a course. However, due to the nature and sensitivity of some materials, enrollment will be limited to peace officers only in specifically identified courses. Enrollment is limited on a first enrollment basis. It is recommended that any student who has registered for a class, contact this office prior to attending, to assure the class has not been cancelled and/or rescheduled. Every attempt will be made to notify you if a class must be cancelled or rescheduled.
PLEASE REGISTER FOR CLASSES PRIOR TO ATTENDING

Fees: Pre-payment is not required to register. However, all course fees are due at the time of attendance unless special arrangements have been previously made. Purchase Orders are accepted and departments/agencies can be invoiced.
Class Attendance: Students are required to attend the entire training session so that successful completion can be reported to TCLEOSE. If an emergency arises, any absences will be reviewed by the course instructor and training coordinator. Absences that exceed 10% of the total class hours will result in no credit for the course.
Dress Code: We try to maintain a professional appearance at the Rankin DeWalt Criminal Justice Center and ask that you do the same. Although we want you to feel comfortable and relaxed, we do ask that you dress in a casual but professional manner. Duty uniforms or professional / business casual dress is requested. T-shirts, shorts, halter tops, tank tops, sandals, hats/caps should not be worn in the classroom. Collared shirts or collarless dress shirts are suggested for male attendees. If the course requires you to be outdoors, the dress code will be relaxed for that day. You may visit our website for a full listing of our facility rules.
While attending any live-fire weapons training it is recommended to wear body armor. For clear recognition of the firearms instructor, he/she will be wearing a red shirt therefore it is requested students not wear red shirts.
We look forward to serving your training needs.
