  • Nessler Center Preschool - Nessler Preschool strives to provide a positive program to help prepare your child for kindergarten. (Click here for more information.)

Senior
  • Senior Program - Call or come by the Nessler Center (2010 5th Avenue North) and speak with Senior Program Coordinator, Faye Kainer. Seniors 55 years of age and older mmy enjoy open recreation and no registration is required. Seniors 60 years of age and older must fill out an application to register to be eligible for the lunch program. For more information, please call (409) 643-5877.
  • Silversneakers Fitness Program:
    - Older adults may be eligible for a Free Membership by joining the SilverSneakers fitness program. SilverSneakers is offered in partnership with select health plans (Humana and Texas Health Spring) at no additional cost to Medicare-eligible members.

    Included in this membership are the Silversneakers Classes, which offer strength and conditioning exercises designed to improve your strength and flexibility. The member may also join in on the other clases offered and receive guidance from qualified fitness instructiors. A heated swimming pool, saunas, weight machines, and cardio equipment are also available for use.

    Any Medicare-eligible Humana or Texas Health Spring member may join. All that is needed is current proof of insurance participation. If there are any questions about the application process, please contact the Lowry Center.

  • Senior Citizens Program - This program was established in 1977 for citizens age 55 and older. Our program continues today to focus on the needs and well-being of seniors in our community.
