Employment Procedures

The City will only accept applications for jobs currently open. The City cannot accept unsolicited resumes or applications for a position that is not posted.

1. Any person interested in employment with the City of Texas City must complete an application from the City of Texas City.
2. Applications are available online or at the Human Resources Department located at City Hall, 1801 9th Ave. N., Texas City. Email application to applyonline@texas-city-tx.org.
3. Applications of qualified applicants are transmitted to the departments for selection.
4. Applicant is subject to verification of references, pre-employment drug screen, background check and pre-employment physical.
5. All certifications will be verified.

All vacant positions are posted at City Hall outside the HR Department. Application remains on file with the Human Resource Department for six months. All positions are posted until filled.
